Jacobs Well Christmas in July

Santa arrived at Jacobs Well to distribute gifts on Saturday night (24/7).

We had a merry time and a fantastic meal, supplied by Santas Merry Helpers. (Far left, Santa Merry Helpers Jenny, Lorraine and Gaylene).

Having a fine time at the Christmas party were Joy, Beryl and Park Manager Robyn.

Santa giving gifts to our oldest, dear Mel, and youngest, Alex, guests. Alex got "just what he wanted!"

A visit by the local constabulary didn't slow down the celebrations.

Then it was time for Santa to get on his bike, the sleigh was in the shop, and head off!

We Went off to Coober Pedy on March 19th for a 2 night stay. Wow what an eye opener for me. Never been that far outback! A small town that has a huge history. Opals, one of my favourite stones, are what gave this town its history back in 1915.
We did a tour out to the Breakaways on the first night; the flies!! absolutely 100's of them. The Breakaways are part of the inland sea that most of Coober Pedy was a part of.

The bottom photos are of sunset over the Breakaways/

Mt Gambier, 13/02/2010

Mt Gambier's Blue Lake. A truly fascinating body of water. It changes colour to a steel blue/grey in Autumn every year.

The start/finish line at Mount Panorama. This was a most anticipated stop on our travels for Dale.
To drive the track, at a more sedate pace than usual! It was a lot steeper than the telecast shows and coming down the Esses and the dipper, and thinking that the drivers are usually doing 200kms/h. Totally insane!

Tamworth

Tamworth! Home of the Country Music Festival and Golden Guitar Awards. I met Lee Kernaghan and we went to see the big guitar!

Bribie Island Surf beach with Morten Island in the background. We stayed here for 5 days from Jan 13 to 19.

Australia Zoo

Crocs Rule. This is Graham a 23 year old saltwater crocodile at Australia Zoo. The croc show was fantastic. Graham is faster on water than land. The keeper was showing us how slow he was on land. Yeah! right! like I'm getting close enough to find out.

Christmas/New Year has been spent in Brisbane with family. Here Zac and I are on the NSW/Qld boarder. Followed by photos of Grants big tandem skydive!
