South Durras, Batemans Bay

This is how close the Roos come at the South Durras Holiday Park. They are inquisitive and very quiet, even tho still wild!

Dale and Reg fishing for Salmon. Dale caught his first biggie! Wrestled with him for 1/2 hour. No pics of this fisrt big catch as I had left the beach. Apparently I am the fish jinx, as Dale caught the damn thing right after I left.

Paynesville, near Lakes Entrance

Dale relaxing after a not too successful go at fishing of the jetty.

We are at Allawah Caravan Park.

We saw this little boat out on the Lake.
Thought Grant might get a kick out of it

Trip to Sorrento and Portsea

Road trip to Sorrento and Portsea 15 October.

The top photo is of the Continental Hotel, circa 1875, is thought to be the only four-storey limestone building in Australia.
The Hotel Sorrento (on right), circa 1872, was also contructed of limestone. Set on a high rise, it has beautiful view of Port Phillip Bay.
Mmm the last photo is the world famous Sorrento Vanilla slice. Yummy!

Sunrise on Port Philip Bay, Melbourne, Sunday 11th September.

The trip across the straight was a little rough but settled mid-trip. We diembarked and were well on the way to Ballarat to see Grace by 8am.

We have decided to stay an extra day in Ballarat and will head off to the Mornington Penninsula tomorrow.
