Nifty Nimbin

Nifty Nimbin. The age of Aquarius was 1973 and the township looks pretty much stuck in that timezone!

Bananas @ Coffs Harbour

Dale had memories of the to-die-for Banana Split offered at the Big Banana.....and his memories were right on! It was HUGE!

Hallidays Point, Forster

Blackhead Beach and Baths, part of Hallidays Point. We stayed here from 16th-23rd November at BIG4's Beachfront Holiday Park. Great park, fantastic pool. A very hot week in NSW, with the Mercury hitting 40 out west.

Taronga Zoo, Sydney and Blacksmiths, Lake Macquarie

The vulture and elephant were on show at the Taronga Zoo. The pelicans were waiting for any off cuts of Dale's fish. A seagull stole one of only two small filletsd he got off his one bream!

Jervis Bay

Here we are at Jervis Bay. Huskison was a touristy type town and bigger than we expected.
We both thought the tiny area known as Hyams Beach was better, thats where we took the beach shot pictured above.

South Durras, Batemans Bay

This is how close the Roos come at the South Durras Holiday Park. They are inquisitive and very quiet, even tho still wild!

Dale and Reg fishing for Salmon. Dale caught his first biggie! Wrestled with him for 1/2 hour. No pics of this fisrt big catch as I had left the beach. Apparently I am the fish jinx, as Dale caught the damn thing right after I left.

Paynesville, near Lakes Entrance

Dale relaxing after a not too successful go at fishing of the jetty.

We are at Allawah Caravan Park.

We saw this little boat out on the Lake.
Thought Grant might get a kick out of it

Trip to Sorrento and Portsea

Road trip to Sorrento and Portsea 15 October.

The top photo is of the Continental Hotel, circa 1875, is thought to be the only four-storey limestone building in Australia.
The Hotel Sorrento (on right), circa 1872, was also contructed of limestone. Set on a high rise, it has beautiful view of Port Phillip Bay.
Mmm the last photo is the world famous Sorrento Vanilla slice. Yummy!

Sunrise on Port Philip Bay, Melbourne, Sunday 11th September.

The trip across the straight was a little rough but settled mid-trip. We diembarked and were well on the way to Ballarat to see Grace by 8am.

We have decided to stay an extra day in Ballarat and will head off to the Mornington Penninsula tomorrow.

The Beginning

The house is sold, we've given up jobs that were stressing us out and we are off.

This is our home away from home whilst we are away.

Maybe we'll see you on the road.....
